I’m Colin, founder of Red Dog AI. In 2025 I made the decision to bet on myself. I left behind a safe career path and started Red Dog because I saw something most people were overlooking.

I was on track to become a loan officer. For those who don’t know, loan officers help people get mortgages and financing. It’s a job that demands hustle, patience, and people skills. But the more I learned, the more I realized something important: being a loan officer is basically like running your own business. You build your own brand, you live off commission, and you carry the weight of finding and serving every client.

That’s when it hit me. Loan officers, real estate agents, small business owners—they’re already entrepreneurs. They’re already doing everything themselves. And while AI could take huge amounts of stress and busywork off their plates, most don’t have the time or energy to figure it out. Some don’t even want to try because the tools feel complicated or intimidating.

That gap is why Red Dog was born. I set it up as an LLC, opened the first account, and got to work. The mission from day one has been clear: make AI simple, useful, and powerful for the people who need it most.

Red Dog isn’t about chasing hype or building flashy tech. It’s about giving small businesses the same kind of leverage Fortune 500 companies have. It’s about creating tools that actually help people live better, work smarter, and grow stronger.

This is more than a company for me. It’s proof that you can take a risk, step out on your own, and build something meaningful from nothing. Red Dog is for the underdogs—the ones who grind, the ones who keep the economy moving, the ones who deserve better tools and bigger opportunities.
